Head of School
Ms. Leah Tong is the founder and Executive Director of Bunny Hill. She has rich early childhood education experience and is fiercely dedicated to the success of every student. As a passionate and caring teacher, she focuses on providing the best curriculum that fit all children's development physically, artistically, and academically. She is a NYS certified teacher and special education teacher, as well as the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®). She holds an EdM in Private School Leadership from Columbia University, an MA in early childhood education, special education, an MS in Human Resources from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a BA in Economics and English Literature from Peking University in China. Before opening Bunny Hill, she worked in various private/public schools and law firms. Her international background from China and Korea made her believe in bilingualism and equipped her to help young children thrive and achieve global success.

As the Founder and Executive Director, I began Bunny Hill with a simple vision: to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child feels seen, valued, and supported in their unique journey of discovery.
At Bunny Hill, we believe that early childhood is a time of wonder, curiosity, and limitless potential. Our dedicated teachers cultivate classrooms that balance structure with creativity, where children can explore through play, develop social and emotional skills, and build the foundations for a lifelong love of learning. We are committed to fostering not only academic readiness, but also resilience, kindness, and confidence—qualities that will empower our students far beyond their preschool years.
We deeply value the partnership between school and family. By working hand in hand, we ensure that each child experiences consistency, encouragement, and joy both in and out of the classroom. It is our privilege to accompany your family on this important stage of your child’s educational journey.
